BetMGM recently revealed the launch of a bespoke range of NHL-branded casino games. This is a targeted launch that will be deployed in a selection of regions in North America, including Ontario, and it’s designed to give NHL fans a more diverse range of gambling options. These ‘one-of-a-kind’ games have been developed by Evolution, an industry-leading software developer, and they’ll heavily feature NHL branding.
From roulette to blackjack and from baccarat to an all-new game called Dream Catcher, there are plenty of gaming options for NHL fans. It was revealed that the selection of games will be made available to play in New Jersey, Ontario, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

These NHL-branded games backed by BetMGM are the first league-themed casino games to launch in North America. As the U.S. and Canadian sports betting markets broaden, opportunities like this will become commonplace across the wider region. Reportedly, these NHL-branded casino games feature immersive, realistic graphics, including 3D renderings and advanced animations. When players dive into the games, they’ll be propelled on the ice, being plunged into a recognisable environment that boasts the all-too-familiar branding of the National Hockey League. Further to the above statement, BetMGM’s Director of Gaming, Oliver Barlett, said:
‘The launch of these one-of-a-kind games further strengthens our relationship with the NHL. As the season approaches, we’re thrilled that our players will have the ability to ‘drop the puck’ with BetMGM.’
At the top of the creative table sits the likes of NHL Blackjack, which will place players in a virtual environment, set within an arena skybox. They’ll have the option to interact with that environment, moving virtually between seats to change their perspective.
Recently, the National Hockey League has partnered with the likes of FanDuel, and of course, BetMGM, in order to expand its legal sports betting presence and operations.
