The 2022 FIFA World Cup now has just four teams left in the competition. Two-time world champions Argentina face last time’s runners-up Croatia, and defending champions France face Morocco. It’s highly unlikely that most readers who are into online betting had all these sides in their World Cup semi-finals predictions, but that’s where this FIFA World Cup semi-finals betting preview comes in.

Before getting into the preview, readers should also check out our review of BC.GAME sports betting, which is one of the more reliable crypto betting platforms on which to place World Cup bets. If the World Cup isn’t quite your thing, you also have the option of turning towards virtual football betting, where an RNG will simulate virtual games that take a couple of minutes to complete.

Semi-final preview: Argentina vs Croatia

Argentina face Croatia in the first semi-final. The two sides have been inspired by their captains – Lionel Messi and Luka Modric, who have both been losing finalists in World Cups before. The sides they represent have really had to battle their way to the semifinals.

Argentina have relied heavily on Messi to create moments of magic. Croatia, on the other hand, have just knocked out Brazil. If they can handle the likes of Neymar and Brazil’s other stars for 120 minutes, they’ll back themselves to do the same against Messi and party.

Croatia also beat Argentina 3-0 in the previous World Cup in the group stages. They have nothing to fear heading into this tie. This is a different Argentina side, however. There’s a unity and aggression about them that makes it hard to knock them out. Argentina look like they’ll just edge this one.

Semi-final preview: France vs Morocco

France face Morocco in the other semi-final. Morocco have been the Cinderella story of this tournament – becoming the first African nation to make it to a World Cup semi-final. They’ve knocked out both their Iberian neighbors: Spain and Portugal. They’ve also topped a group that had Belgium and Croatia in it. They’ve extracted almost too much from the players they have, with many of their stars – like Hakim Ziyech and Romain Saiss – being injury doubts ahead of the tie against France.

France have been the best-performing team in the tournament so far. In Kylian Mbappe, they’ve also got the best player in the tournament so far. They’re a heavyweight, and it looks like they will end the Moroccon dream next.
